Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer for a one-year project based in Zürich. This role focuses on providing cloud solutions and support for our banking client, ensuring robust and secure cloud infrastructure that meets industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and a solid understanding of banking sector needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services to support the banking client’s applications and systems for the duration of the project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and provide tailored cloud solutions.
- Implement and maintain cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security throughout the project.
- Monitor cloud performance, optimize resources, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Develop and manage cloud-based automation, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with banking industry regulations and standards, including data security and privacy requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices for cloud security and compliance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and the client regarding cloud-related matters.
- Stay current with cloud technology trends and advancements, recommending new solutions and improvements as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, specifically those used in the banking sector such as AWS (with a focus on financial services), Microsoft Azure (with Azure Financial Services), or Google Cloud (Google Cloud for Financial Services).
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and services.
- Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, particularly in the banking sector.
- Proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Familiarity with banking industry regulations and standards is highly desirable.
